About the Musical Eyes Network

The Musical Eyes Network was  a Youth Music funded early years music network which was active from September 2012- September 2013. This network was managed by myself and Anne Suggate for 20,000 Voices.
I was responsible for the network website, which was jam packed with excellent early years resources. We kept this website open for as long as we could, right up until the end of July 2014
Unfortunately, we have had to close the Musical Eyes Network website down (as of Friday 25th July 2014), as it is no longer possible to maintain it without any funding. It requires regular maintenance and costs money to simply keep the site open. I also feel that it can no longer serve its purpose as a thriving network site, as I cannot afford to do a lot of unpaid work on content to keep it up-to-date. This simple post took me an hour, so you can imagine how much time and energy it took to maintain a site as vast as our network site!

Find inspiration for early years music making on this website

Please do have a good look around this website, which is my resource website and supports all of my early years project work. There are over 80 songs in this songbank, and lots of brilliant video clips of children’s responses to my work here.
You may also wish to join the Early Years Music facebook group which is an excellent network for anyone using or interested in music in the early years.
Please do stay in touch with me and let me know how you are getting on in the world of early years music. Keep on looking for inspiration and being the best early years music leader you possibly can! Keep on sharing and networking, it has never been more important than it is now.
