Words:

Bee baw babbity,
babbity babbity.
Bee baw babbity,
Babbity brewster brawly.
Who taught you to dance?
Babbity babbity,
Who taught you to dance?
Babbity brewster brawly.
Mammy taught me to dance,
babbity babbity.
Mammy taught me to dance.
Babbity brewster brawly.
Bee baw babbity,
babbity babbity.
Bee baw babbity,
Babbity brewster brawly.

Context:

This is a brilliant song I was taught by Sandra Kerr at the Musical Babies CPD day in April.

This is taken from a wonderful book “Playsongs: Actions songs and rhymes for babies and toddlers”. If you do not have this book and enjoy singing with babies, it is worth investing in, as you will never need to look for a new song or rhyme again!

This is a great bouncer or foot tapper, and helps with those first sounds ‘ba ba ba’ that baby might like to make.
