Words:

All the little ducks turn upside down, upside down, upside down
All the little ducks turn upside down,
When they dabble at the bottom of the pond
All their little beaks go quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack
All their little beaks go quack, quack, quack,
When they dabble at the bottom of the pond
All their little wings go flap, flap, flap, flap, flap, flap, flap, flap, flap
All their little wings go flap, flap, flap,
When they dabble at the bottom of the pond
All their little tails go wiggle, waggle, wiggle, wiggle, waggle, wiggle, wiggle, waggle, wiggle,
All their little tails go wiggle, waggle, wiggle,
When they dabble at the bottom of the pond
All the little ducks sleep in their nest,  in their nest,  in their nest,
All the little ducks sleep in their nest,
When they dabble at the bottom of the pond

Context:

I learned this from Sandra Kerr at the Musical Eyes Network’s Musical Babies CPD day in April.

This is used with kind permission of Margaret Shephard, and is from Sheena Roberts’ wonderful book “Playsongs: Actions songs and rhymes for babies and toddlers”. If you do not have this book and work with babies, it is worth investing in, as you will never need to look for a new song or rhyme again!

Sandra suggests this is a good song to use to incorporate actions, and it also encourages the calming down and being still at the end. This could work well at the end of a session before it is time to go home to make it easier and calmer on the way out?
